Milano

Milano is by far the busiest city I have been in to date. It reminds me of New York City with an Italian flair. Other than a brief respite this morning, it has been raining since I arrived.

I walked to the Duomo which is huge and very gothic looking. The building begain in the late 14th century and wasn't completed until the 19th century. The Milanese when they think something is taking too long, simply say "la fabbrica del Duomo". I climbed the hundreds of steps to the top and took some great photos and then went to the Castello Sforzesco which houses some of Leonardo da Vinci's works. This looks like a castle, as the name implies, and has beautiful grounds and a fountain that goes off about every half hour in the front.

I then meandered around the shops, had a hot chocolate that was more like melted chocolate with no milk added and walked back to the hotel. Nothing exciting just another day in Italy.

Looking forward to Bellagio tomorrow.

Ciao
